A group of our Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers welcomed the first Philippine Airlines flight into Cairns this morning.
The passengers on the flight, including dignitaries from Philippine Airlines, joined the rest of the audience upon disembarking for the official welcome.
Our dancers impressed the crowd as they demonstrated their traditional dances and weaponry.
Philippine Airlines will be operating 4 flights a week, from Manila-Cairns-Auckland return.
For the first flight, the airline used a special A340-300 to accommodate extra passengers on the inaugural flight however the usual aircraft will be a smaller A320.
If you’d like to see our Pamagirri dancers yourself, you can view their shows daily at Rainforestation. You can also participate
